lnternational seminar, in English, organized by Irdes, in partnership with the Hospinnomics chair

Why and how to reduce variations in medical practice : Paths for improving care equality
Major variations in medical practice have been well documented in France as in most other countries, and raise questions about the quality, equity, and efficiency of resource allocation and use. The seminar will be an occasion to look at the implications of practice variations for health care policy and to investigate policy tools for tackling unwarranted variations.

We are delighted to welcome distinguished speakers who have been pioneers of research in this area:

    • Professeur David Goodman, The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice ;
    • Docteur Diane Watson,, Chief Executive, Bureau of Health Information (Australia) ;
    • Professeur Sabina Nuti, Laboratory Head of the Management and Health Laboratory at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, Italy ;
